Mrs. Mary Miller Weil died at her home in Waukee last Monday morning, at 5 o'clock, after several months of illness.

She was the mother of a large family of sons and daughters, Mrs. E. J. McKinney, of Churchville, being one of the daughters. She was a sister-in-law of O. Bussanmas, of this place.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, at the Catholic church in Waukee.

Obituary – Mrs. Mary Weil

Mrs. Mary Miller Weil, one of Iowa’s pioneers passed away at her home on mile north of Waukee Monday morning, January 20, at 3:30 a. m. At the age of 70 years.

She came to Iowa with her parents from Pennsylvania in her early childhood and settled at St. Marys, Iowa and in her young womanhood was united in marriage to Joe Weil. To this union was born six sons and four daughters. Sister M. Leona, of Mercy hospital, Des Moines; Sister Mary Rose, of St. Bernards hospital, Council Bluffs; Mrs. Earl McKiein, of Churchville; Mrs. Peter Callan of Waukee; Joe, Andy, John, Peter and Paul, all of Waukee and Frank Weil of Texas.

Requiem high mass was celebrated at the church in Waukee and Rev. Lansing delivered the funeral address.

Burial was at Dallas Center, three grandchildren and three nephews acted as pallbearers.

She is survived by 10 children. Those from a distance attending the funeral were Frank Weil, of Texas; Andy Miller, of West Bend; Martin Miller, of Fort Dodge; Frank Miller, of Howard, South Dakota.
