Prominent Dexter Woman Died in Oklahoma

The Welch Funeral home in Dexter was filled to capacity Saturday December 30, with friends of the late Mrs. J. G. Stanley, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alice Warner at El Reno, Okla., Tuesday evening, December 26th. The body was accompanied to Dexter by Mrs. Warner of Little Rock, Arkansas. Mrs. Stanley was a life long member of the Methodist Church.

The services were conducted by the pastor of the local church, Rev. J. N. Clemmer. Miss Darlene Furne sang two solos accompanied by Mrs. Keith Chapler. The casket bearers were Pete Ohrt, Harry Dunmire, Guy Lenocker, Newt Curry, Harry Smith and Joy Hammond. Mrs. James Adkins and Mrs. Von Allen took charge of the floral offerings which were many beautiful silent tributes to the high respect in which Mrs. Stanley was known. Interment was in the Dexter cemetery by the side of her husband, who passed away in May, 1926. Mrs. Stanley was past 96 years of age.
