Former Resident of Adel Dies
Charles K. Price Died in Perry Thursday—Brother of Nettie Bilderback

Charles K. Price, 74, who many years ago was a plumber at the Buckman Hardware, died at the Moyer Nursing Home in Perry on Thursday.

The former Adel man had been ill many months, and death was attributed to old age. Many years ago, he was employed at the Buckman Hardware here as sheet metal worker and furnace man. He is the brother of Nettie Bilderback, of Adel.

Funeral services were held at the Crellin Funeral Home Saturday and were attended by many friends and relatives. Burial was made at the Dexter cemetery.

Pallbearers were Glenn Reeves, C. C. Couch, Truman Mitchell, O. P. Flinn, Tom Walker and Otto Couch.

Concerning the life of Mr. Price are the following facts which were given by Rev. Clinton I. Weber, of Dallas Center, who had charge of the funeral services:

Charles K. Price, son of Reynolds K. Price, Jr. and Sarah Stribling Price, was born near Dexter, Iowa, Sept. 29, 1871 and died at the Moyer Nursing Home, Perry, Iowa, on March 14, 1946.

He attended the rural schools, when a youth and later the Dexter Normal School.

After leaving the farm he followed the plumber’s trade for many years, until his health failed him about four years ago.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Bilderback, Adel, Iowa and Mrs. Florence Washburn, of Sweetwater, Texas; three nieces and one nephew, all in California and was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

People from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Gilman Turner of Linden Mrs. Amelia Penn, of Dexter; Miss Mona Pease and Mrs. Verda Kenworthy, of Earlham.
