Word has been received by old friends in Menlo of the recent death of Mrs. Mable McComber Pugh, who died at the Eastern Star home in Boone and was buried in Dexter cemetery last Friday. Mrs. Pugh was among the early residents of this community and received part of her education in our schools. While a resident of our community she married C. C. Pugh, who was also a Menlo resident at the time, and who preceded her in death a few years ago. Mrs. Pugh was known for her kind, womanly qualities and old friends grieve at her passing on.
