A Sad Affair

On Monday, a party of movers, who were bound for Wisconsin in wagons, had a child die in the wagon when a short distance from Dexter. The people were in straitened circumstances and only had money enough to buy the child’s coffin, so J. S. Downey went around among the business men and soon raised money enough to defray the funeral expenses, and the child was buried in the Dexter cemetery. It is a very sad affair, and one that will call forth the sympathies of all.---Dexter Herald.
