Samuel G. Norris 56, of Dexter died of a heart ailment Monday at Veterans Medical Center in Iowa City. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at McKee Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.

Mr. Norris, a retired electrician, was born in Atchison, Kan. and lived in Carlisle before moving to Dexter in 1984. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of Stuart-Mount Vernon United Methodist Church, AmVets and Iowa Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia; a daughter, Deana Wurst of Carlisle; two sons, Joseph of Tampa, Fla., and Samuel of Dexter; three brothers, Gene Drown of Independence, Mo., Wayne Drown of Pensacola, Fla., and James Norris of Belleville, Ill.; a sister, Sophia Brannen of Orlando, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
