Clarence Horace Bebout, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bebout, was born in Marion County, Iowa, June 5, 1898, and departed this life December 26, 1969, at Dexter, Iowa, at the age of 71 years, six months, and 21 days.

He was married to Hazel Nichols on January 19, 1917. To this union eight children were born: Violet (Mrs. Lloyd Stegall) of Marshalltown, Ruth (Mrs. Carlton Zornes) of Tucson, Arizona, Francis Bebout of Woodward, Iowa, Rachel (Mrs. Ivan Gilmore) of Linden, Iowa, Sue (Mrs. Bill Davis) of Marshalltown, Iowa, who survive.

Preceding him death were his parents and his wife, Hazel in 1967, and two sons, Lester and Lynford, and one daughter, Lenora.

Sixteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren also survive his passing, and also many other relatives and friends.

Final rites were held at the United Methodist Church in Dexter on Sunday, December 28th with the Rev. John Latta officiating. Burial was in the Dexter Cemetery.
