Mrs. Frank Weisbrod was born on May 13, 1870, in Strasburg, France. Her parents were John ad Carolyn Voss. In Holy Baptism she was given the name Anna. In early infancy she came to this country with her parents, who settled on a farm near Homestead, Iowa. In her early childhood she moved with her parents to a farm in Audubon county. Here she received her schooling and became a communicant member of the Lutheran church by the rite of confirmation in St. Johns church, north of Adair.

Mar. 6, 1894, she was united in marriage with Frank Weisbrod, whose body was laid to rest less than two months ago. Following her marriage the deceased and her husband moved to Des Moines, where they lived for more than 40 years. In 1936 they moved to Dexter. One child was born into the family, Carl Weisbrod, now living in Adel.

Survivors in addition to the son, include one grandchild, and two great grandchildren.

The deceased was a loyal, faithful member of Zion congregation and an active member of the Ladies Aid.

Death came to her last Saturday at the age of 86 years ad five months.

Her funeral service was conducted by Rev. A. C. Weber, pastor of the Zion Lutheran church. The Lutheran church quartette furnished music with Zelda Clausen at the organ. Flowers were cared for by the Lutheran church committee. Adolph Jobst, E. D. Clausen, Henry Benz, Paul Clausen, Fred Scar and Carl Jensen were the casket bearers. Burial was in the Dexter cemetery.
