The Dexter Sentinel of last week contained a full account of the suicide of Geo. W. Walker, a pioneer resident of that town who hung himself in his workshop. He arose as usual and while Mrs. Walker was preparing the morning meal, it was his custom to work around his shop, and nothing was thought of his absence until his granddaughter, Gretchen Vogle, found him hanging to a rafter in the shop. A physician was called, but it was too late, life had departed into the great Beyond. Mr. Walker had been ill for several months and it is believed his mind was affected which is directly responsible for this act.
