Page 3, Column 4Dexter—A service for George W. Haynes, 79, of Madrid was held Oct. 25, 1983 at the United Methodist Church at Dexter with burial in the Dexter Cemetery. Mr. Haynes died Oct. 21.
He was born to David and Elma Gooden Haynes in rural Dallas County on Feb. 8, 1904 and spent most of his life in the Madrid and Slater area, where he worked as a farm laborer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
There are no immediate survivors.
