Urbandale—Ruth Marie Emory, 83, of Urbandale, died Thursday, January 23, 1997 of a heart ailment at Urbandale Health Care Center. Joint interment of cremains for Clyde and Ruth Emory was held Saturday, Sept. 27, 1997 at Dexter Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made by Kuhn Funeral Homes.

Mrs. Emory was born Feb. 8, 1913 in Putnam County, Ind., the daughter of Jacob and Lorena Warner Miller. On Aug. 24, 1929, she married Clyde Emory at Crown Point, Ind. She worked for the Campbell’s Soup Company while living in Indiana, and after retirement, they moved to Dexter in 1973. She was involved in many activities with the Kingdom Hall in Redfield.

Survivors include one son, Dick of Clinton, Ind.; one son-in-law, Bill Osborn of Panora; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Mrs. Emory was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, a daughter, Patricia; three sisters, Viola, Betty and Leota and two grandchildren.
