Booneville—A funeral for Edna Cushman, 88, of Booneville was held April 30, 1991 at the Booneville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Cushman died of a heart ailment on April 27 at Earlham Manor Care Center. Burial was in the Dexter Cemetery at Dexter.

The daughter of Frank and Mattie Haltom, she was born at Lacona on May 4, 1902. She married Gene Cushman at Dexter in 1937. She had lived at Booneville since 1944, and lived at Dexter prior to that. She was a retired teacher, having taught at Dexter, Van Meter and Waukee. She was a member of Booneville United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star No. 294 at Earlham and American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 464 at Adel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, by three brothers and by one sister.

She is survived by her husband, Gene.
