Lydia Mae Daulton of Dexter, who was a resident in the vicinity of DeSoto in her early youth, passed away Monday, June 23 at the Dexter hospital where she had been a patient about seven weeks.

The funeral services were held Thursday, June 26 beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Dexter with the Rev. Robert Holloway officiating. She was a member of that church and also of the Rebecca Lodge.

Arrangements were in charge of the Fisher Funeral Homes of Adel and Van Meter.

The casket bearers were Allen ----, missing info Roberts, James Adkins, Russell Horn and Kenneth Neal.

Mrs. Clell Sellers was soloist with Mrs. K. M. Chapler organist.

Assisting with the flowers were Mrs. Harold McFarlan, Mrs. Allen Atherton and Mrs. Marlin Piatt.

The deceased is the daughter of the late Jake and Harriet Chestnutwood, who lived for many years on a farm north of DeSoto.

She was born Aug. 28, 1884.

She was married to A. T. Daulton in December 1900. They have lived nearly 50 years in and near Dexter.

Interment was in the Dexter cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Tilden; a daughter, Mrs. Harold Sandahl of Des Moines; three sons, Clifton of Dexter, Lawrence of Toledo, Ohio, and Roy of Ames; a sister, Mrs. Roy Rhodes of Van Meter; a brother, Frank Chestnutwood of Limon, Colo.; other relatives and a host of friends.
