Mrs. Mary R. Boot, 96, Dexter, died after a short illness April 26 while visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cora Pearson of Des Moines.
A resident of Iowa since 1867 and of Dexter since 1899 she is survived by one son, Charles H. Boot of Newton and nine daughters, Nellie, Mrs. E. H. Marston, Portland, Oregon; Elizabeth, Mrs. E. H. Leighty and Laura, Mrs. Allen T. Percy, both of Dexter; Evalyn, Mrs. H. L. Brooks, Minburn; Amy, Mrs. L. L. Simcoke, Ames; Hannah, Mrs. W. M. Sloan, San Jose, Calif.; Rose, Mrs. Carl Hodson, Dexter; Cora, Mrs. J. Lloyd Pearson, Des Moines, and Ruth, Mrs. N. I. Nelson, Chicago, Ill.
Services were at Dexter Methodist church Saturday with burial at Dexter cemetery.
