Dexter—A funeral for Lloyd R. Hadley, 77, of Dexter was held March 26, 1988 at the United Methodist Church here. Mr. Hadley died of renal failure on March 23 at Veterans Administration Medical Center at Des Moines. Burial was in the Dexter Cemetery.

The son of Allen and Maude Davis Hadley, he was born in Dallas County on May 14, 1910. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army, where he achieved the rank of sergeant. He was wounded in action on Aug. 22, 1944 while serving in France and receive the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

He married Maryon Sorensen on June 1, 1949, and they made their home in Dexter, where he worked as a plumber.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Iva Merrill.

Survivors include his wife, Maryon, and a sister, Fern Marsh of Dexter.
