Earlham—A funeral for Lenore N. Algreen, 85, of Earlham was held March 31, 1987 at the Zion Lutheran Church at Dexter. Mrs. Algreen died of respiratory failure on March 29.

Burial was in the Dexter Cemetery at Dexter.

She was born in Madison County on Sept. 7, 1901, and was the daughter of Anton and Amalia Wishmier Clausen. She was a lifetime member of the Zion Lutheran Church. She had worked at a defense plant in World War II, at the Dexter Clinic Hospital and later at the Dexter Telephone Co. She was a member of the women’s group at her church.

She married Samuel Buchanan on Sept. 1, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1947, and on Nov. 22, 1958, she married Pete Algreen.

Survivors include her husband, Pete; and two stepchildren, Billy Algreen and Helen Hester, both of Earlham.
