Joseph Jenkins, a prosperous farmer living miles northwest of Adel, Dallas county, on the 26th was killed by a fragment of a buzz saw, which struck him above the left eye, cutting through the skull. He never regained consciousness after the accident.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Garoutte Cemetery. However they show his date of birth as February 23, 1889 but I think it is probably 1869 looking at the gravestone photo since a 15 year old would probably not yet be a prosperous farmer.
