Eudora Marston, daughter of Clarissia and Albert Welch was born December 25, 1874 at Dexter, Iowa and departed this life on June 27, 1954 at her home in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 79 years, six months and two days.

Early in life Eudora united with the Methodist church. She received her schooling in the Dexter public schools.

On December 26, 1899 she was united in marriage to Arthur Irwin Marston of Roseville, Illinois. They spent the first years of their married life in Roseville later moving to Enid, Oklahoma and then to Humeston, Iowa. In 1922 they moved to Des Moines where she resided until her death.

To this union three sons were born, Albert Irwin, F. Earl and Charles Edwin.

Eudora was preceded in death by her husband who passed away April 7, 1944, also her two brothers, Bert and Solon Chase Welch.

Eudora has been in failing health since the death of her husband. She has resided with her two sons Earl and Charles in Des Moines, who have given her their loving care and devotion. For the past year they have been ably assisted by Mrs. Clara Snyder.

She leaves to mourn her passing her three sons, Albert Irwin of Atlanta, Missouri; F. Earl and Charles Edwin of Des Moines, two brothers, Martin Welch of Earlham, and P. W. Welch of Eagle Rock, California, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Eudora was a devoted wife, loving mother and a friend to all who knew her.

Eudora has gone to be with her Master. Like a ship that’s left its moorings and sails bravely out to sea, so someone dear has sailed away in a calm serenity, but there’s promise of a greater joy than earth could have in store, for God has planned a richer life beyond the unseen shore.
