Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, May 7th at Evans Funeral home of Charles William (Ted) McMullen, age 54, who was critically injured early Sunday morning when he lost control of his car and upset one and one-half miles west of Dexter on Hiway No. 6. He passed away on the way to the hospital. He was working for John Cave at Kennedy Station and made his home with his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Morgan. He leaves to mourn his passing his mother, Mrs. Dave McMullen, three sisters, Mrs. Cole (Mildred) Spillers, Mrs. Roland (Gladys) Morgan and Mrs. O. W. (Agnes) Martin, one brother, Clyde McMullen all of Dexter, one son at Sunrise, Iowa and two daughters in Des Moines. His father preceded him in death, January 30, 1955. Interment at Stuart.
