Jeanette Arlene Gardner (A.J.) of Perry, died December 28, 2012, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, while visiting her son and daughter-in-law.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.

A.J. was born February 27, 1932, in Collins to Roy and Ardel Baker. She worked in the Perry area all of her life. She waitressed at the Rib Restaurant, the Elks Lodge, Bill and Kay's Maidrite and could be found on a regular basis at Curves.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Willis; and brothers, Norman, Robert and Richard Baker; and one son, Gary Johnston.

She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Compton of Fort Worth, TX; son, Dennis (Casey) Johnston of Fort Smith; and daughter, Teresa (Bill) Mulder of Perry; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to Fairview Methodist Church or the Rowley Memorial Masonic Home.
