April 23, 1936

M. C. Combs died Monday at the hospital at Iowa City where he had been taken for treatment. Mr. Combs had been failing since an accident last winter at Adel when he fell down a flight of stairs and broke a leg. Though he was past 83 he had enjoyed good health until the accident. Mr. Combs’ home was in Redfield but he spent the past winter with his brother Curt at the Chas. Tate home.

Funeral services were held at Redfield Wednesday afternoon.
