Frank Wheeler, 60 year old bachelor, ended his life with a shotgun at his home in Redfield Tuesday morning. Worried over financial difficulties, Mr. Wheeler sat on the edge of his bed, placed the muzzle of a .20 gauge shotgun against his head and pulled the trigger with a piece of shingle. He died instantly, and evidence of suicide are so apparent that no inquest will be held.

Wheeler had been despondent over money matters for some time. Among his effects were found records showing that he had $500 in checking account and deposit slips for $1255 and $274 in the closed Redfield bank. He owned his home but had been unable to secure work for several months.
