Grandma Forrett, probably the oldest resident of Dallas County, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Cushion north of Booneville, failing by a few months to attain her 103rd birthday. She was born in 1822. Mrs. Forrett was in full possession of her mental faculties up to the time of her death, but had been bedridden for several years. She has occupied herself incessantly with knitting rugs at which she was very adept in spite of the handicap of her rheumatism crippled hands, forcing her to employ her thumbs at the task. She also had good use of her eyes and enjoyed the reading of her Bible until the last.
