The funeral of John McGrew, aged 55, was held at the Christian Church, Redfield, today and burial was made in East Linn Cemetery. The deceased was a nephew of Thomas Benson, of this town, and the Edgar Benson family in addition to Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Mendenhall, J. L. Ledlie, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Pearson and Mrs. Josie Brown attended the funeral. Mr. McGrew was attacked by the fatal illness shortly after returning from a
Lake Okoboji trip last week and died Tuesday night. He had been in ill health with heart trouble and inflammatory rheumatism for some time prior to his death.
