Mrs. Darius Cook of Bear Creek died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Zella Hunnicutt in Des Moines, last Friday. She was spending a few days with her daughter, when she was suddenly taken quite sick with softening of the brain, and died in less than a week. Her body was brought to her home Saturday evening and the funeral was held from the Bear Creek church Monday afternoon with interment at the Bear Creek cemetery. Mrs. Cook had been in poor health for some time. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Hunnicutt and little granddaughter, besides brothers and sisters and many friends. She had been a conscientious Christian and a member of the Friends church for many years.
