Huldah Hinshaw was born Feb. 11, 1824, in Randolph county, North Carolina. She was married to Ashley Craven on April 1, 1847. To this union were born seven children, four of whom are still living. the other three, with loving father, having gone before.

Huldah Craven has been a faithful member of Bear Creek meeting for a number of years. For the past four years she has been a great, though patient sufferer and often expressed a wish to go to her rest.

She was a loving mother, a faithful friend, and an affectionate grandmother. God called her to her rest on October 28, 1900, and was laid away in Bear Creek cemetery on last Thursday, Rev. J. W. Stribling conducting the last sad rites. Our loss is her eternal gain.
