Death of Mrs. Jacob Stump

Van Meter, November 15, Special

The funeral for Mrs. Jacob Stump was held at the home at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon, November 9, in charge of Rev. C. N. Bigelow, pastor of the Church of Christ at Adel. A male quartet composed of Lloyd Hulse, Millard Jenkins, Boyd Landers and Leo Phillips, with Mrs. A. G. Felters as accompanist, rendered several musical numbers. The pall bearers, all nephews of the deceased were Claude Stump, Frank Manders, Bert Henry, Elmer Stump, Roy Henry and Ed McNair. The burial was at the Thornton Cemetery.

Those who attended the funeral from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Henry of Beaver, Mr. and Mrs. Manford Lanning and Aaron Stump, of Redfield; Mrs. Mae Daunk of Oxford; Mrs. Hulda Manders and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Henry of Winterset.
