A dead man was found by an east bound train at an early hour last Tuesday morning about one mile west of town. The section men were sent for and brought the body to town. The coroner was summoned and pronounced it suicide. Two bullet holes were found, one passing through his head and another through his side. He had a revolver in his hand, was well dressed and was in seemingly good health up to his death. He was about 39 years old. No letters or cards bearing his name, excepting J. Cain on his collar. The body was taken care of by the undertaker and buried last Friday in the Van Meter cemetery.
