Mrs. Joseph Jackson died at her home in this city Tuesday, October 31st, after a long period of suffering, from heart trouble. Her husband died about a year ago, and since that time she has failed rapidly. There were nine children, seven daughters and two sons, and all were present at the funeral except one daughter. All the bereaved family will have the sympathy of the community, and especially Miss Minnie, who, being the only child at home, has been her mother's constant companion. The funeral occurred from the Baptist church yesterday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Coffman.

NOTE: Eleanor Taylor was born April 16, 1830 in Springville Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Halsey Taylor and Elizabeth Smith. On June 14, 1849, she married Joseph Jackson in Peoria, Illinois.
