Obituary

Mary Ethel Creswell was born May 24, 1883 at De Soto, Iowa. She passed away at the Dexter Clinic, on September 14, 1966 at the age of 83 years.

On March 29, 1905 she was united in marriage to James Leroy Creswell. To this union one son, John Kermit, was born and he passed away August 13, 1964.

Mrs. Creswell lived near Dexter until 1918, moving to Minburn until 1940, moving back to Dexter at this time, she remained here the rest of her life.

Ethel was a member of the First United Presbyterian church of Dexter where she was active in the service of the church, through the challenges of teaching, active in mission study and the Women’s Association Progressive Guild.

She leaves to mourn her passing four sisters, a niece, a nephew, one daughter-in-law, two grandsons, two great grandchildren, and a host of neighbors, both of Minburn and Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted in the Dexter Presbyterian church on Friday, September 16, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Chas. White in charge. Pall bearers were Jim McMenamin, Jim Graham, John Baldwin, Fred Morford, Sr., Harry Switzer and Maurice Neal.

Interment was in the Dexter cemetery.
