Mrs. Wm. Robi(n)son Dies

(Entire obit says "Robinson" but gravestone & other newspaper articles say "Robison"

Mrs. William Robinson of Booneville passed away Saturday, March 4th. Mrs. Robinson was one of the oldest settlers in this entire community. funeral services were held at the Booneville church Monday afternoon, Rev. Peterson of Van Meter and Rev. Kite of Des Moines conducting. Burial was in the Booneville cemetery.

Ellen Knight was born near Winchester, Ind., December 11, 1845, and passed away at her home in Booneville, Iowa, March 4,1933.

She was the youngest of nine children of George and Armilla Knight.

She came with her parents to Boone township, Dallas county, Iowa, in 1850, and on March 8, 1868, was united in marriage with William Robinson.

To them were born six children, four of whom died in infancy. The daughter, Mary Ella Griffith, died February 10,1917. She leaves surviving her her husband, her son, Elmer Robinson of Booneville, and the following grandchildren, Earl Robinson of Des Moines, Clara McAllister and Carroll Robinson of Booneville, Doris Bricker of Earlham, Charles Griffith and May Griffith of San Juan, Texas, Florence and Mabel Griffith of Booneville and many other relatives, among them five great grand- children. They are: James and Clare Robinson, Donald, Darlene, and Mildred McAllister.

They had been looking forward to the celebration of their sixty-fifth wedding anniversary next Wednesday.
