Mrs. E. Schneider Died in Daughter’s Home, Charter Oak
Funeral services for Mrs. Ernestine Schneider, nee Hermann, who reached the age of 89 years, were held at the Denison Lutheran church Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Wm. Frese, pastor officiating. Internment took place in the Lutheran cemetery near Denison.
Mrs. Ernestine Schneider, nee Hermann, was born May 3, 1845 in Silecea, Germany, at which place she was married to Carl Schneider. This happy union was blessed with six children, namely: Herman, whereabouts unknown, Clara, Mrs. Carl Harrock, Billings, Mont., Katherine, Mrs. August Alvan, Canby, Oregon, Paul of Milford township, Lemphena, Mrs. Frank Hennings, of Charter Oak, at whose home she passed away October 6, 1934, at the age of 89 years, 5 months, and 3 days.
In the year 1880, Mr. and Mrs. Schneider came to the United States and located on a farm near Denison. For the past several years she had made her home with her son Paul, in Milford township, but about six weeks ago she moved to her daughters, Mr. Frank Hennning’s, home at Charter Oak.
Mrs. Schneider was known as a loving mother and was happiest when in the company of her children and their families. All the tender care possible was given her, but her advanced age caused her to continually grow weaker until her passing Saturday noon.
A large circle of near relatives and a host of friends join in extending their sincere sympathy to the family .

DENISON BULLETIN CORRECTION 10/11/1934:
In the obituary of Mrs. Ernestine Schneider the name of one of the sons, Gustav Schneider, of Denison was unintentionally omitted. There are also left to mourn her death, 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
