Mrs. Elsie Nollen was the only daughter of Henry and Mary Huskey-Joens born at Colony, Kansas, on Christmas Day Dec, 25, 1906. She attended the schools of Kansas and Iowa and on Feb. 26, 1921 was married to Albert Nollen in Denison.

There were six children born to this union, three boys and three girls,namely, Orvin Albert born Sept, 11, 1925; Wilbert Leroy, born June 18, 1927; Pauline Elsie, born Aug. 9, 1929; Earl Eugene, born Aug. 23, 1931; Leona Mae, born Aug 15, 1933; and Viola Wilma, born Sept, 23, 1934,

During the sixteen years of their married life, Mr and Mrs, Nollen resided on farms in the Buck Grove and Kenwood vicinities and Mrs. Nollen was known as an industrious and hard-working wife and mother.

Besides her husband, she is mourned by her father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs, Henry Joens, and two brothers, Elmer ad Orvin Joens,, all of Carroll.
