Ommo Friedrichsen Died Monday at Sioux City Hospital

Funeral services for Ommo Friedrichsen were held Wednesday afternoon at The United Church of Christ. Mrs. Harlan Buffum and Mrs. Donald Meyer sang "Rock of Ages" and "Going Down the Valley " They were accompanied by Mrs. John H Evers. Rev Walter Baumgartner read the following obituary:

Ommo Friedrichsen was born April 3, 1908, in Otter Creek Township He was the son of Carl Friedrichsen and his wife Mrs. Anna Friedrichsen, nee Johnson. He was baptized in the local Evangelical and Reformed church on May 3rd, 1908, and he was confirmed and received into membership of the church on April 9, 1922.

He was married to Marcella Riessen on November 20, 1929. Mr. and Mrs. Friedrichsen lived in this community all their lives. About two weeks ago he was taken to the Crawford County Memorial Hospital for treatment. After he returned home for a few days, he became seriously ill on Sunday and was taken to St Joseph's hospital in Sioux City. He died on Monday afternoon about 4:00 July 13, 1959.

Mr. Friedrichsen is survived by his wife, 3 sons and 2 daughters, Norman of Schleswig, LaJune, Mrs. Roger Johannsen of Denison, Jordean, Mrs. Verle Aschinger of Wall Lake, Eugene and Virgene at home, his mother, Mrs. Anna Friedrichsen, one brother, Walter, four grandchildren, besides a large number of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Friedrichsen's father passed away on August 7, 1951, 2 grandchildren also died in infancy. Burial was made in the Morgan Cemetery. Pallbearers
