Obituary Of Harry Korner Funeral services for Harry A. Korner was held Thursday, September 4, 1975, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig, with the Rev. Theo. A. Letzring officiating. Mrs. Donald Thompson served as organist. The congregation sang "Just As I Am " and the choir sang "Rock of Ages".

Harry Korner, son of Herman and Louise Korner, was born September 12, 1902, in Hanover Township and died at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison on September 1, 1975. He reached the age of 72 years, 11 months and 20 days.

He lived around the Schleswig area and married Dora Kuehl on October 29, 1924. On May 5, 1925, he confirmed his faith in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig and remained a life-long member of the congregation. They farmed in the Schleswig and Mapleton areas until he retired in 1969 when they moved to Schleswig. Dora died in November 1972. He married Helen Engel in May 1975.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Dora, two brothers Art and Leo, and one sister Esther.

Survivors include his wife Helen, one son Willie and his wife lone of Odebolt, one daughter Wilhelmina, wife of Edward Edsen of Ida Grove, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, seven stepsons, twenty-one step grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren, three brothers Walter and Ben of Schleswig and Carl of Charter Oak, and many other relatives and friends.

Bearers were: Dale Edsen, Leon Edsen, Lynn BlumI, Jim Spotts, Da e Petersen and Dennis Gierstorf.

Interment was made in Morgan Cemetery.
