Mrs. Leo Downey.
On Wednesday morning occurred the death of Mrs. Leo Downey. Since the birth of her son, about seven weeks ago, she has been ailing, yet it was thought she was improving. On Saturday, she was taken to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Lawler, where she thought she could rest. Suddenly, Saturday evening she became ill and died on Wednesday morning. The cause of her death was spinal meningitis. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, a seven week's old son, her mother, father, brothers, sister and a host of relatives and friends. Mrs. Downey was well known in West Side, residing just north of town. She was ever a good and kind person to meet and was sincerely loved by the community. May she rest in peace. She was buried Friday morning at the Vail cemetery, services being held at the Catholic church at that place.
