Jacklyn Lee (Reeser) Bukacek was born February 9, 1955, the daughter of Glen and Leona Kremin Reeser Sr. She died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at her home in Charter Oak at the age of fifty-two.

Jackie was born in Denison, Iowa. She grew up in Arion and received her education in the Dow City Community School, graduating with the class of 1973. On February 21, 1987, Jackie was united in marriage to Stan Bukacek. The couple combined their three children each into a single loving family. Jackie worked as a waitress for several years at the Golden Nugget in Buck Grove and later at the Charter Oak Cafe. She began making decorative items for the home from wood and later turned her hobby into a profession by marketing her creations at craft shows. Her interest turned to jewelry made from silverware, and she started "Simply Silver Wear". The craft show circuit brought her many dear friends from all over the United States.

She loved horses and the biggest regret she had when she and Stan moved to town was having to sell her horses and give one of her dogs to her mother to care for. Most of all, she devoted herself to her family and friends. Jackie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who was the anchor that held the family together. She recently became a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Charter Oak.

Her strength was not enough to beat the cancer that took her. She kept her hope through much suffering until there was no more fight in her. She passed away peacefully with her family around her and will be missed by many.

Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Glen Reeser, Sr. Survivors include her loving husband of 20 years, Stan Bukacek of Charter Oak; children, Jason Beermann and fiancee Melissa Stillman of Onawa; Jeremy Beermann and wife Bonnie of Dunlap; Jen Nippert of Correctionville; Laurie Mumm and husband Bryan of Ute; Darien Bukacek of Omaha, Nebraska; Tawnya LiaBraaten and husband Keith of Papillion, Nebraska; seven grandchildren; her mother Leona Mack of Charter Oak; brother Glen Orvil Reeser and wife Martha Bell of Palatine, Illinois; sisters, Jean Lance of Dow City and Mary Jo Peter and husband Jim of Charter Oak; a brother-in-law Roger Bukacek and wife Carolyn of Denison; other relatives and friends.
