DATED FEBRUARY 6, 2003:

Funeral services for Deloris Maxine Andrews of Dunlap were held Tuesday morning, February 4, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Dunlap with Rev. Carla Ingebretsen officiating. Music was provided by Gilma Gibbs and Becky Marcum. Selections included “One Day At A Time,” “In The Garden,” and Congregational Hymn “How Great Thou Art.”

Interment was made at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap. Pallbearers were Jeremy Fineran, Jason Fineran, Jerry Renz, Wally Murphy, George Hull, Ronnie Hull. Fouts Funeral Home of Dunlap was in charge of arrangements.

Deloris was born November 19, 1929 in Crawford County, Iowa to parents Paul A. and Dora M. (Pace) Price. She attended school at Dow City.

On January 7, 1949, Dee married Howard Andrews. The couple lived and farmed in the Moorhead area. In 1974 Dee became a LPN. She was a nurse at Dr. Gammel’s office in Dunlap, worked at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital, Nursing Homes in Dunlap, Woodbine and Onawa.

In 1990 the couple moved to Brush, Colo., and Dee worked at a nursing home there. In the fall of 2002, they moved back to Dunlap.

Dee was currently a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Dunlap and formerly a member of the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorhead. She enjoyed collecting owls, traveling, watching birds and reading.

Dee died Friday, January 31, 2003, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison at the age of 73 years, two months and 15 days.

Dee was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Howard Andrews of Dunlap; son, Vernon Andrews and his friend Laurie Ehlers of Denison; daughter, Marilyn and her husband, Dennis Fineran of Craig, Colo.; two grandsons, Jeremy and Jason Fineran; mother, Dora Duncan of Brush, Colo.; three sisters, Jean and her husband Mel Benton of Brush, Colo., Anna Samuelson of Dunlap and Juanita and her husband Philip Bowman of Pueblo, Colo., and two brothers Paul Marvin Price and Dennis H. Price, both of Denver, Colo.”
