DOW CITY
On Monday night there was a great amusement in the hall. For some time past Frank Lambert and wife have been here and he in addition to being a show mam is a scenic artist. He took our stage and scenery in charge and has made them shine. He has done well. The curtain has the ads of our business firms. On Monday night the first entertainment was given with the new scenery. Lambert and his wife showed themselves pleasing artists. Our people were fortunate in the help from Denison. Miss Florence Cushman sang a number of times, and Mr. J. V. Barborka, who is a musical wonder, played. He seemed equally at home with the big harp, the violin or zither. He certainly did well. The receipts at the door were $47.95, which showed a good house.
