A ROMANCE IN REAL LIFE
A charming little romance in real life ended in Denison last evening when Rev. W. A. Frese pronounces the words that unites Ida Marie Kaysel and Bernhard Christian Bremer until death do they part. They are as handsome a couple as the Fatherland has ever sent to the new world and the story has all the elements of Ladies Home Journal fiction. They were playmates and then lovers in Altona the quiet little suburb of Hamburg cross the sea. There was the stern parent, the bride’s parent, the bride’s father, who objected to the match. There was the search for fortune on a foreign soil, final success after years of toil, then letters, the fair maid journeys over land and sea, comes to the home of her aunt, Mr. C. Schelm in Denison and here awaits the coming of her lover who has achieved success in Mexico, in Central America and who is now connected with a large importing firm which deal with Central American products at San Francisco.
All the world loves a lover and Denison people showered congratulations and good wished upon the happy pair.
The wedding ceremony was performed at the Lutheran church on Tuesday evening at eight o’clock, Rev. W. A. Frese officiating. Mr. J. V. Bareborka with his harp played the Lohenfrin wedding march most beautifully and after the final words were spoken the wedding party and invited guests repaired to the hospitable house of Mrs. Schelm, where midst music and laughter and happiness a bounteous wedding dinner was served.
