James Stewart, brother of George, was my gg grandfather. This is some of the info I have: Parents: Father: James Stewart, born about 1780, Perthshire, Scotland. Mother: Agnes McKenzie. born Bef. 1786 in Scotland. They were married in Kinclaven, Perthshire, Scotland on July 22, 1804.
Children of JAMES STEWART and AGNES MCKENZIE are:

JANE MCKINZIE STEWART, b. May 24, 1805, Stanley, Kinclaven, Scotland; m. JOHN WATSON, July 06, 1830, Kinclaven, Perth, Scotland.

JANNETT STEWART, b. December 01, 1806, Kinclaven, Scotland.

ANN STEWART, b. 1811, Stanley, Kinclaven, Scotland; d. February 21, 1889, Grant Township, Tama, Iowa. February 1889, Buried, Amity Cemetery, Grant Township, Tama, Iowa

JAMES STEWART , b. 1818, Stanley, Kinclaven, Scotland; d. March 11, 1886, Reinbeck, Grundy County, Iowa; m Jane Rogers, December 05, 1851, Pershire, Scotland

GEORGE STEWART, b. August 08, 1823, Stanley, Kinclaven, Scotland; d. November 07, 1899, Reinbeck, Grundy, Iowa.
