City of Clinton fires 1880s

Hi, my Swedish great-grandparents moved to Clinton from DeKalb County, IL about 1878. They left sometime in the 1880s because of a fire that burned much of Clinton including their home. My great-grandfather Magnus Lindgren worked in a sash factory per 1880 census (spelled Lengren). His obit says that he was a fireman for many years in a large saw mill owned by Lamb & Young. When the mills burned, he moved his family to Dallas County. I need to know when that mill burned. That will help me determine where they lived in November 1880 when my grandfather Emil Lindgren was born. I thought it was Dallas County, but now it looks like it was Clinton.
Thanks!
