GRACE D HANAUER was born in February 1886 in IOWA. Her father, Levi Hanauer, was still single, 27 years old, a store clerk, on the 17 Jan 1880 Federal Census for Clinton IA. Her mother, whose name we don't know, was born in Kentucky.
On 14 June 1910, Grace married Carl Philip GEIBEL in South Bend, St Joseph Co. IN.
We are looking for a record of her birth and a record of the marriage of her parents which we believe took place in Iowa, probably Clinton.
By 1900, Grace's dad, Levi Hanauer was a 48-yr-old widower, living in Cairo IL, so we see her mother did not live very long after she was born.
Grace was raised by her grandparnts in South Bend IN.
