This is interesting to me because the Kranbuehl is one of my distant cousins! We don't actually know which one of the brother had a photography shop, but we have a few family photos that he took. All but one of the Kranbuehls (unusual spelling, that) left Clinton, Iowa, around 1880. If you find anything more about the date of 'formerly Kranbuehl' I'd like to know it!
