I’m looking for any info in regards to John A GAST b. abt. 1837 in OH. Married to Heniretta C MACKIE. They lived in Clinton, Clinton Co., IA. In 1870 and 1880. 1880 Census shows three children, Charles, Lillian and Nettie. Here’s the bad thing. The hand writing in the census records is not real clear. Last name could be GASH or GART. But I’m betting on GAST. Heniretta was my great Aunt.
