The Clinton Herald Tuesday March 12, 1974 p. 8 Mrs. G. L. (Alice) Curtis, 85, 1408 Caroline Ave., died this morning in her home. A private funeral will be held Thursday morning at Snell-Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Leslie Pritchard of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
There will be no visitation. Born Aug. 13, 1888, in Clinton, she was the daughter of Willis and Christine Heitman Holmes. She married George L. Curtis in 1935 in Clinton. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, PEO and the YWCA. Survivors include two step-daughters, Mrs. H.W. (Elizabeth) Murphy, Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. T.C. (Louise) Curtis, Petoskey, Mich.; and eight step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and one sister.
