HELEN J. MORRIS

Services for Helen J. Morris, 85, formerly of Clinton, who died Wednesday in Phoenix, Ariz., will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Prairie Union Cemetery, south of Low Moor. Rev. Barbara Bullock-Tiffany of Immanual Lutheran church, Camanche, will officiate. Family members will be pallbearers. There is no visitation. Schmitz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Morris was born on Feb. 24, 1909 in Low Moor, the daughter of Benjamin and Anna Marie (Johannsson) Johnson. She married John Morris. He preceded her in death.

She was an assistant deputy in the auto license department in Clinton County for 19 years, retiring in 1976. She moved to Scottsdale, Ariz in 1977. She was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star, Low Moor.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. June Gaare of Scottsdale, Ariz., Mrs. Janice Petersen of Nuevo, California, and Mrs. Robert (Jacqueline) Nolan of Camanche; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Gladys Madden of Appleton, Wis.

A brother also preceded her in death.
