MAQUOKETA — AlJean Julia Wilslef, 86, of Maquoketa and formerly of Preston, died Thursday at Jackson County Public Hospital, Maquoketa.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston. The Rev. Gregory Geier will be officiating. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Miller-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Preston.
She was born Oct. 28, 1919, in Green Island to Earl and Bessie Hatfield Lingle. She married Virtus L. Wilslef on April 3, 1936, in Dubuque.
She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston.
She and her husband farmed for 30 years in the Preston area.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Dolores (Charles) Reistroffer of Maquoketa and Mrs. Cindy Lou (Donald) Iversen of Parkview; one son, Robert (Mary Ann) Wilslef of Ozark, Mo.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Wilma Jensen of Stockton, Ill.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
