CLINTON — Kenneth E. Weaver, 78, of Clinton, died Wednesday at Mercy North Hospital.

Funeral services will be at First Congre-gational Church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Bruce Kamer will conduct a Masonic Rose Croix service at 10 a.m. at the church. Visitation will be at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery where full military rites will be conducted.

Pallbearers will be 33 degree Masons.

He was born on March 12, 1927, in Clinton to Earl W. and Ella L. Knapp Weaver. He married Norma M. Bailey on Sept. 17, 1950, in Clinton at First Congregational Church.

He was a Clinton High School graduate. He was a member of the first graduating class of Clinton Community College.

He served in the U.S. Navy with the Sea Bees in the Philippines during World War II.

He was employed with the Curtis Co. from 1949 to 1956, Clinton Corn Processing from 1956 to 1981 and was appointed Clinton County treasurer on Dec. 10, 1984, until his retirement as treasurer on Dec. 31, 1994.

He was a member of First Congregational Church, financial secretary of the church, member of the board of directors of the Clinco Community Credit Union, Moose Lodge 363, American Legion, Western Star Masonic Lodge 100 since 1947, past master of Western Star Lodge in 1958, Clinton Scottish Rite Bodies since 1949 and became a 50-year member on Oct. 25, 1999, was coroneted 33 degree inspector general honorary on Dec. 5, 1981, Clinton York Rite Masonic Bodies since 1987, Kaaba Shriners since 1963, Clinton Shrine Oriental Band since 1963, member of the Clinton Masonic Center Advisory Committee and treasurer of the Masonic Preservation Trust Fund.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kevin (Debra) Weaver of House Springs, Mo., and Jeff (Becki) Weaver of Clinton; one daughter, Rebecca Weaver of Mililani, Hawaii; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials maybe made to First Congregational Church or the Masonic Preservation Trust Fund.
