SAVANNA, Ill. — Ronald Lee Williams, 57, of Savanna, died Saturday at his home.

There will be a memorial service at 6 p.m. Friday at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. The Rev. Richard Raspberry, of Piggott, Ark., will be officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.

He was born March 10, 1948, in Savanna to Richard and Marion Bowman Williams. He married Norma Coyle on Nov. 1, 1991, in Mount Carroll, Ill.

He graduated from Savanna High School in 1967.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

He worked as a press operator with Metform, Savanna. He previously worked with DURA Automotive Inc., Mount Carroll, for about five years.

Survivors include his wife; mother, Marion Dewey of Savanna; one son, David (Angela) McGinty of Davenport; four daughters, Kim and Missy Williams, both of Arizona, Mrs. Naomi (Wesley) Coverdill of Chadwick, Ill., and Annabelle (Adrian Nellish) McGinty of Spring, Texas; one sister, Jenny Dewey of Savanna; and 17 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, stepfather and one brother.

Death date: Feb. 18, 2006
